Profile

Founded by Architect Adam L. Tarr, disPLAY was built upon the notion that the experience of architecture should precede its visual appearance.

As a result, the principles of Game Theory play a significant role in our design methodology. Into the understanding of how we interact with each other and the environment we occupy, as well as the choices we subsequently make.

Our work is seen within a variety of sectors from commercial to student accommodation; from residential to event structures. The projects available on our website provide just a small sample.

For a further insight into the applications of Game Theory and how we are making use of its principles to design, please refer to the Research section of the website.

disPLAY's founder and principle is Adam. L. Tarr. Having studied at the Manchester School of Architecture and the Architectural Association where he received the Eileen Gray Bursary & Alexander Memorial Award, he has since been interviewed by the Independent Newspaper [UK] and has been visiting critic for Architectural Institutions such as the AA and Canterbury. He is also a member of RIBA + ARB.
