A collaborative exhibition  (ALtarr and AA students) saw an articulating single surface divided into 5 pronounced triangle segments providing rotating sections and pivot points + lines. The form was developed through the site’s constraints and the desired movement and area covered.

MAX/msp, a modern program which utilizes human and environmental interactivity to perform functions was used as the operating system because of its easy integration within essential everyday systems. The program uses graphical objects rather than arcane commands and syntax providing the programmer with a steep learning curve.

These command functions are able to be activated by a number of sensors, such as movement  captured via web cams, whose input is then translated through the platform to perform specified tasks from activating a motor or servo to turning on a light or fan.
